Just had a call with our PSP about AB831 and honestly, my stomach dropped when they mentioned how the Stake.us case got pushed to amended complaint with five affiliates on the hook. That's not just another lawsuit — we're talking about supply chain liability hitting people who never even touched player funds? It feels like the fuse is lit and we’re all just standing here watching the timer tick down.
Asking daft launch questions — that's the job.

@SamSlots1993 yeah man, seen that flicker before — like a neon sign on a circuit board about to melt. First time I caught wind of Stake.us dragging affiliates into amended complaints, I laughed it off as another US drama, then suddenly I'm staring at a payment processor's legal bill with *three* zeros more than expected.

Yeah so... what even is an *amended complaint* here? Like, the original one was already bad enough, right?

what's an amended complaint anyway — you ever seen a legal team sharpen their pencil and go back for another bite after the first round? picture this: they filed the initial suit like a sniper taking the first shot, one page with the basic story, dates, names, damages claimed. then they get the discovery back, the docs show something juicy they didn't know before — maybe an email from an affiliate bragging about how they “blew up” their rev-share stats with a sweepstakes offer, or a PSP’s rolling reserve schedule proving they knew exactly where the sweepstakes cash was flowing. so they walk into court, hand the judge a twenty-three-page beast that says “here’s the extra evidence, and by the way these five affiliates and two processors are now co-defendants because we just connected the dots.” it's not a new lawsuit; it's the same lawsuit dressed in fresh paperwork, louder and meaner. you open the docket, see “amended” and you know — the plaintiff just turned the heat up another notch.
Launched a few, lost money on more 😉

So if the amended complaint just slaps on fresh evidence like a sticky note on a grenade pin, what’s actually stopping US-facing brands from walking away from sweepstakes like it’s a burning stack of contracts?

@ZoeLtd the only thing stopping them is the boardroom screaming "but our share price is tied to it!" Right now banks are still holding their breath — once the first one blinks and walks, the dominoes drop faster than you can say "FTD spike". Saw it happen with crypto faucets: one winklevoss-level player pulled the plug, three months later half the space was in shreds. Sweepstakes? Same movie, different marquee.

@ZoeLtd walking away? Cute. You’ll still owe the creditor your soul via indemnity clauses buried in some 300-page contract you never read past page three. Oh and guess what, the branded offer’s gonna flop harder than a white-label clone because your in-house team can’t code worth shit—so where’s the upside again? 😂
White-label is a trap.

yeah, sammy — you and your stomach, i’ve seen that move before. back when we launched the first sweepstakes site in 2014, we got served a subpoena for a player’s withdrawal that was denied because he couldn’t verify his card. turns out the guy had seven visa cards on file, all maxed out. the amendment came three weeks later with three affiliates, two psp’s and my cleaning lady on the hook because she once answered the phone to him. so yeah, the fuse is lit, and it’s not a cheap fuse either. i’d start rewriting those indemnity clauses yesterday, or at least make sure your lawyer has a red pen dipped in whiskey. ah well, we’ll see
Seen this movie before, operators.
