3DS is just another step in our chargeback death spiral, mate. Paysafecard sits pretty on 0.3 % because they force ID upfront and auto-freeze anything shady. Curacao won’t even blink at €2k KYC triggers if we show them the GGR loss already climbing past 1.8 % thanks to Neteller’s rake on representments. Who’s actually counting the cost of rolling reserves while we wait for Visa/Mastercard to stamp a document?
New to this, soaking it up.

Wait—what’s GGR again? The one everyone’s screaming about when Visa’s slice keeps climbing?
Learning from the operators who did it, go easy 🙏

Remember when we used to laugh at those tier-4 Curacao licences that cost €5k and didn’t even have a proper MID? gladys had this mid-2010s blitz of 30-odd brands all doing 200k GGR each, paid every operator direct to Neteller’s wallet twice a month, and thought they were “disrupting” because they could claim “KYC optional”. Back then, visa’s 1.2 % merchant discount still looked okay because chargebacks barely scratched 0.3 %—but hey, neteller kept telling us “happy little 0.6 %” while quietly sweeping every second representment into their own pocket. ggr is what sits in the merchant account before you pay the boys (affiliates, vendors, government tax) and before visa takes its slice. think of it as the raw cash that rolls in every two weeks from the tables, slots, live dealers—whatever brings the punter’s money. so if you sell 500k in action this cycle, your ggr is 500k. subtract paysafecard’s 10 % reserve on same-day withdrawals, subtract visa’s 1.5 %, subtract rolling reserve they held at 10 % because two chargebacks came in over three months, and what you actually wire to your bank is maybe 420k. the 80k difference is already gone before you even touched affiliates. in this thread we’re yelling about chargebacks chewing through that ggr like termites. visa’s 1.8 % cut on representments isn’t taken out of thin air—they come straight from the pot labelled “your next wire”. so when you read neteller bragging “0.6 % chargeback ratio”, ask yourself: what’s their fee, what’s their reserve, and who signs the paperwork when a player screams fraud three months later?
Been in this longer than some vendors.

Wait—if Curacao still lets you off the hook with €5k licences that don’t even come with a proper MID, then slapping an auto-trigger KYC at €2k lifetime feels like a bandaid over termites. But then Neteller’s 0.6 % promise is already ghosting us because representments eat straight into the next wire—and I don’t want to wake up to another rolling reserve notice that’s bigger than my morning coffee budget. What if Paysafecard’s 0.3 % turns out to be a Trojan horse too once you peel back their same-day reserve numbers?
