Does anyone else feel like a hostage when Worldpay drops your MID from 18 % approval to 4…
Last week got hit by the Worldpay December squeeze — 18 % to 4 % in one batch 😅 how are we supposed to sleep with numbers like that? Anybody else running €2.3 M monthly just to watch your GGR evaporate over a weekend? Nuvei’s emergency MID program sounds good, but who actually qualified and did it save you or was it “apply on Friday, wait till January” again?

Wait... so what’s this ‘GGR’ everyone keeps tossing around in the thread? I keep hearing it but am not 100 % sure if I’m reading it right 😬

you know when you look at your monthly spreadsheet and that first row—gross gaming revenue—feels like the only line that matters? ggr is just the raw cash that walked through your door before any of the fat gets trimmed: deposits, withdrawals, chargebacks all still inside. think of it like the till at the end of a saturday night—you count every chip on the table, the ones in punters’ pockets and the ones still in the cashier’s drawer. come monday morning your accountant takes that pile, subtracts bonuses, chargebacks, fees, and what’s left is ngr. so on december monday when worldpay blinked that 18 % down to 4 %, our ggr didn’t shrink because players suddenly stopped—our approval just did. like suddenly half the till went up in smoke overnight while the rent still had to be paid.
Seen this movie before, operators.
Wow, that hits way too close to home 😬 We saw the exact same drop with Worldpay Mid-December batch—€2.3 M monthly volume, 18 % down to 4 % overnight. No warning, just “welcome to the December squeeze” like it’s some sick joke.
Kev_Casino nailed the panic: how do you run a business when half your till vanishes in one swipe? Nuvei’s emergency MID sounds like the only lifeline, but “apply Friday, wait till January” is just another way of saying “we don’t actually have it”.
CasinoLife_Ltd24 put it best—GGR is that raw cash pile before the accountant butchers it. When approval tanks, your GGR stays the same but the slice you actually get to keep gets fried. That’s the real hostage situation: you’re still ringing every cent through the door, but the processor decides which bits make it to your account.
