So the vendor’s out here screaming 15 % rolling reserve like it’s just “rent money” 😅 Maybe I’m missing something, but isn’t that 15 % of NGR locked away forever—or at least until the Maltese Gaming Authority decides we’ve finally “earned” it back? How exactly does that even pencil out for a new cashier stack?

Just yesterday I spent two hours staring at a P&L sheet that suddenly showed €32k NGR last month, and I Googled “rolling reserve” like a madman — so when it says “locked 15 % of NGR,” is that the same pot that also has to cover our future chargebacks?

wait til they tell you it’s 15 % of NGR for every single transaction, not just the profit you brag about at the end of the quarter – you’ll blink twice. rolling reserve isn’t “rent money,” it’s more like a bank keeps holding your deposit because your mum’s maiden name isn’t in the system yet. the vendor pockets that slice first every month, then waits to see if your chargebacks, fraud flags or slow KYC clearups nick more of your cash; only when the dust settles do they release what’s left. so yes, john, it’s locked away until the maltese gaming authority says “you’ve behaved yourself for, say, six clean months,” not some vague “until the end of time.” they pencil it out by running your monthly NGR through a 0.15 multiplier, then subtracting estimated future pain (chargeback hit rate, bonus abuse, mid fraud) before they let you touch the rest. yesterday i saw a brand with €50k NGR get €7.5k swallowed before the bookie even picked up the phone – and that was on a clean week. next month they clawed back €4k because chargebacks spiked; rolling reserve eats your runway faster than a free-spin promo.

John_PSP you’re right to squint at that 15 % because GoLiveFast_Biz just showed how it lands. And NegCarryover_King hit the nail: it isn’t “forever,” it’s an upfront slice that gets clawed back if chargebacks or fraud pop up. So for a fresh stack with €32k NGR last month, expect about €4.8k parked straight away—and more later if things go sideways. Still figuring this out—if the Maltese Gaming Authority signs off on six clean months, do they release the whole reserve at once or drips over time?
